In the Koru Games the sport I competed in was Touch.

Our team won 4 games and lost 4 games.

I found the experience to be awesome because I got to hang out with some new friends.

In terms of working with Individuals and Groups; my solo level is relational because I could do somethings but not all of them but now I can try to put people in the hole

For Teamwork; my solo level is extended abstract because I can reflect on how well I work with the group and seek feedback on how I can improve.

Individuals and groups
I need help to work in a group (with teachers or other students
I can work in a group with my friends.
I can work in a group with anyone in my  year level or team

I can respond positively to the needs of others
I can reflect on how well I work with the group and seek feedback on how I can improve
Teamwork

I need help to interact with others.

I can interact with others one to one.

Coordinates, Distance and direction

In Maths we have been learning to: Use a coordinate system or the language of distance and direction to specify locations and describe paths.

Here is a link to our online modelling book. This shows all of the learning we have been doing.

EVIDENCE of my learning.

Here are some screenshots to show the IXL activities I have completed.

You can find evidence of my extended abstract problem solving tasks in my Maths Book.
The Figure it out activities that I completed were  called:
  • Going the distance
  • Clara’s Cowpats

My next step is to continue to apply what I have learned in a range of problem solving activities.

Term 1 Novel Study

I found this novel interesting because I learn't that when people had glasses the people that didn't have glasses would bully the people that had glasses because they that they were smart when they should leave them alone.

During the novel I had to complete two major assessment tasks. The first is an Explain Map which shows the consequences of a major event in the book. The second was a Describe++ Map (Inference map) which shows I how I have connected prior knowledge and other experiences to what I have been reading to make an inference.

  • Year 7/8  Standard
    • using several pieces of information to make inferences
using their prior knowledge, along with information in the text, to interpret abstract ideas, complex plots, and sophisticated themes
    • I can use a range of strategies, such as inferring, to work out more complex words.

Games with minimal or no equipment.

Games with minimal or no equipment.

In PE we have been participating in a variety of games that require little or no equipment.
Below is the Matrix which shows our progression in this unit of learning.

Screen Shot 2017-03-12 at 12.32.06 PM.png

The table below shows my understanding of games with minimal or no equipment.
(Fill this table in, in as much detail as possible. )

Examples of Games that need minimal or no equipment.
What equipment would we usually need to play these games.
Why do we play games with minimal or no equipment?
tag games,octopus,sneak up granny,hide and seek,duck duck goose,cones
bibs
easy to set up and don't have to find a lot of suff

My Strengths.
Some things that I have done well during this unit of learning art getting involved because it is fear

My Next Steps.
Some things I could improve on when playing games with minimal or no equipment are to use no equipment. Because easy to play and don't need to get a lot of equipment.
In writing I have been learning to use basic punctuation that is mostly correct;
- use capital letters, full stops and commas,
- use question marks and exclamation marks,
- use apostrophes,
- use speech marks

I have been especially focusing on using exclamation marks and commas. I have highlighted these in green where I have used them as well as other punctuation that I changed because it was used incorrectly. Here is a piece of my writing that shows this.

One of the leadership traits of being an effective leader is being. Integrity this means i have to make the game fair by knowing the game rules. jak occonal has shown integrity because when he was setting a game up and heaps of people were playing he kept the game really fair because not only did he kept the points to his friends team but the gave it to the team that got the point. Not giving it to one team every time when they didn't get a point. Even though he got bossed around that the game wasn't fair. I had to back up so i am going to try and do what jak integrity is important because the game has got to be fair, fun, and has lots of people involved As well as being fear I also need to be a good ref by having all sorts of good leading .As well as being integrity I also need to be active thinker
